Added a few bent over rows last night, almost did a sick once I'd finished my workout..

Eating and weights are going well, Im getting stronger and weight slightly more even if Im not a buffbobmusclepants just yet.

By how much should I look to increase the weight once I can complete 3 x 10? I've been using 2 x 0.5kg weights, too little?

1kg on each side of a bar?

No, I meant one 0.5kg on each side of the bar, 1kg in total.

Thats 1kg of additional weight in total, not that my bench press is 1kg. Felt I had to point that out. -_-

I think what Q meant was add 1kg to each side of the bar. So instead of 0.5 kg go up to 1kg of additional weight on each side.

I didn't even know there's a 0,5 kg weights.

In other news, fuck yeah. I'm getting back to the gym after having to skip four days because of an annoying accident at work - I grabbed a falling glass from air and it was broken and cut a nasty wound to my hand. So much blood I fainted and almost knocked my head on the counter. Thank God one of my mates was there to grab me. Need to take it easy with the wound, though.

So what your saying is I should be looking to increase in steps of 2kg at a time? That seems like a big hike. I know everybody is different but roughly how often should I be looking to increase the weight, weeks or months..?

2kg jumps are not really a very large jump at all... if you can easily do 3x10 then you should definitely be making that jump at least. It's also helpful to vary the amount of reputations you do regularly. For instance you can do a 10, 8, 5 cycle, or a 8, 5, 3 cycle depending on what you want. By that I mean that the first week you do 3 sets of 10 reps. The next week you will then do 3 sets of 8 reps on as heavy as possibly while still fulfilling those parameters (thus, probably heavier than the previous week). And then the 3rd week you will do the same but with 5 reps, and even heavier weights.
Then when that cycle is over you go back to 3x10 again, and this time you will probably naturally already have a higher max then you had 3 weeks ago, and you do the cycle again.

Had that 2 days ago, what a horrible experience in all of it's beauty. Had to walk home too (2.4km) - it wasn't pretty but I felt all the better for doing it. Medicine ball squats, I love it.
