Another loss to GCU tonight.
Was what I was expecting with our threadbare squad atm. Pretty happy with our performance though and I'm sure when we get everyone back we will be in the top 3 at least.
It can only get better.

It looks like Frank Farina may be getting the sack and former Socceroo Paul Okon is tipped to take over.
I love the foxsports headline, even though it's not on purpose: "Frank Farina's days appear numbered with Paul Akon tipped to lead Roar".

It looks like he'll get the sack in the next 24 hours. I hope Paul Okon gets the job and does well.

The latest news is that Ange Postecoglou will become the new manager of Brisbane.
They might as well not have a manager. They'll be better off without him.

Fuck sake, it'll be terrible if we sign up Ange. He did have a good record in the NSL though.
Sacking Farina is a mistake though. He is one of the best managers in the league IMO.

I have no idea who Ange is, but they had to sack Farina, what kind of message does it send if they kept him after two drink driving offences.

I doubt Ange will do half the job that Farina did. Plus, it wasn't entirely Farina's fault for their poor form this season. They've lost important players to injury and he did a good job considering. I would have kept him on the job.

I just didn't see them going anywhere. Somtimes change is good for a club, look at Sydney for example. Roar always seem to fall short in the finals. I'd also say there lack of new players and higher ticket prices have been a factor to the declining crowds. It will take time for the squad and club to regroup and build again.

Ange wasn't giving much away on Fox Sports FC on Tuesday night. Would probably mean that he would have to give interviews on SBS again
How can he possibly say that he was a scapegoat? He's a fkin idiot, that's what he is. With all the problems with the imagine of sporting clubs and alcohol related incidents recently I back the Roar's decision, especially as it was his 2nd offence. There might not be a better manager out there for the club at the moment but that doesn't mean that you should necessarily keep him based on that.

It would be awesome if they signed Van Egmond. I really don't want Ange to get a job. The guy is a tool.

Would look bad for Van Egmond to take an A-League job this soon after leaving the Jets though, considering that his reason for leaving was to take on a different kind of opportunity away from the A-League.

Not sure if I'm happy about this. His reign with the young socceroons was a joke to be honest. His NSL record is very good though so who knows.
Thanks to Farina though, he did a stand up job.
