Very, very excited for this. My pick would be Reina / Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique / Henderson, Adam / Gerrard, Suarez, Maxi / Carroll, but that's unlikely to happen. Still, we must win, we shall, and so we will celebrate.

Thought he was injured. Well, that's excellent news then. Should be an emotion heavy evening for him.

Subs:
Doni
Carragher
Kelly
Spearing
Maxi
Kuyt
Downing

Can't really see anything other than this formation. What I like about this particular team and formation is the fact that it's adaptable. Henderson is very versatile and he'll vary his movement a lot. He can go wide or tuck in. When he comes in more centrally it allows Luis to find space in wider areas. It also means that if Gerrard pushes forward, Hendo can tuck in and cover for him centrally. Bellamy will be the player given the duty of stretching the opposition due to his pace and ability to get in behind them.

Adam has to start. When Lucas got injured, I felt that it would be Spearing would be the new man in there but wee Jay has disappointed me this season. To me he's just looked a step down in class from the rest of the squad. Adam's been better defensively and has so much more creativity about him. His form has also picked up recently.

Unless we suffer from injuries from now till the end of the week, this is our strongest XI and these are the players that deserve the start.

I'll drink to that

When you walk through a storm
hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone

Right, seriously, I've managed to watch Manchester United play in two of these finals. How come I just can't be there today? So frustrating! Ah fuck it, the place'll be buzzing and I have seriously high hopes.

Getting butterflies in my stomach for the first time in forever it seems. Don't even feel this way when we play the mancs anymore.

Wonder will the TV pick up the "Pepe Reina, fist me!" banner. I do hope so.
