Some good shit there, right? Right. So, short of umm-ing and ahh-ing over your top ten, we'll keep this simple: what were your top five records of the year? And what were your top five singles? Also, in the interest of being progressive, who do you feel will come to the fore in twenty-twelve, right before the Mayan calender brings us all to our knees? We've got nothing else to do in the lull of the last week of the year -- don't pretend you aren't phoning this one in like the rest of us -- so let's chit-chat amicably about music for a while.

1. The Mountain Goats - All Eternals Deck
2. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong
3. The Decemberists - The King is Dead
4. Bon Iver - Bon Iver
5. Architecture in Helsinki - Moment Bends
Honourable mentions: The Jezabels, Noah and the Whale, Fleet Foxes.
Singles are too difficult so I won't bother.

+1 Lykke Li. The album flows well and it's so catchy. I love "Love out of Lust". I don't feel the urge to skip any songs while listening to it while the same can't really be said about Angles (i'm sorry but it's true). The other album I would put as my top is Bon Iver but that's no surprise considering the amount of attention it got.

Destroyer Kaputt
PJ Harvey Let England Shake
St. Vincent Strange Mercy
Yuck Yuck
Radiohead King of Limbs
Songs!
Panda Bear Alsatian Darn
Youth Lagoon Seventeen
Cloud Nothings Not Important
St. Vincent Year of the Tiger
Bill Callahan America!
2012!
Sleigh Bells Reign of Terror
Cloud Nothings Attack on Memory
Dirty Projectors ???
Grizzly Bear ???
The xx ???
All my listing were things I felt was appropriate for this forum, and is more biased towards rock than anything else. Otherwise my songs list would've been a Lana Del List.
