Anyone above 69 points for today at halftime?  I've got an all Spanish defense and GK, plus Alba as Captain, and Silva in the team for 69 at the half so far.

Gerrard had a good tournament for England, who else would you have ahead of him? Only player I would consider would be Marchisio. Regarding Ibrahimovic, he had a great tournament. The label of not being a great big game player does degarde his capabilities, but in essence it was the quality around him that failed to take advantage of his intelligence. I would consider Nani to be unlucky to have missed out.

Jiráček & Moutinho off the top of my head should have got a place over Gerrard, and I'm sure I could think of more if I needed to, he was poor in at least 2 of the 4 games he played and in the other two he done nothing worthy of a place in this list. Zlatan went out in the groups, I just don't understand how someone who played in 3 games can be considered one of the best players in the tournament, especially when he wasn't necessarily fantastic in any of those games but that's just my opinion...

Fair enough, I thought Gerrard did well and was only second best to Terry was England's best player. You're right, there are players that outperformed him, I just wanted to know your selection. Three games is half of the tournament, it's not as low as you make it out to be. Ibrahimovic was the best striker in the tournament, when you look at the strikers that progressed further, for instance, Gomez, he hasn't really made use of that extra game. Pereira instead of Lahm, Marchisio ahead of Gerrard, and Nani as opposed to Silva would be my main changes.
