In preliminary talks with Laurent Blanc. Santini, anyone?

I kinda doubt that Blanc is doing any negotiations right now considering he's focused on the Euros. Plus, Noel Graet (FFF) president recently said that they're most likely going to renew his contract.

It is unclear whether Levy will be able to hold on to Modric for another season, although he is empowered to hold the player to his contract, which has four years to run. He is adamant he would not sell Modric to Chelsea or Manchester United but he may be more receptive to a bid from Real Madrid, particularly if the sum on offer was upwards of £40m.

AVB is better than Redknapp if we can get him. Maybe it may take him 2 or 3 seasons, but long-term he's the right choice. Will need a large transfer budget though.

Don't really want to lose Modric. Dislike him as a person, but respect that he's an excellent player, so pleased that Levy doesn't want to sell the player to Chelsea or United. I think £40m upwards for an overseas club might be enough.

Think ENIC are a bit tight with their cash, but think Levy is a tough businessman to deal with. Don't think he'd allow himself to succumb to player power so doubt anybody will get a bargain over Modric, and don't think United are in a position to be able to afford him.

Modric looks pretty likely to go to Madrid, but to be honest I think we have to get a bit more for him surely? 30M is nothing in these inflated markets, this guy is a top 5 CM in the world. Hopefully there's a player involved.

AVB
Blanc
Martinez
Moyes

I don't care, all decent options. Just get them in now so transfers can be done accordingly.

Are we getting AVB as manager? He seems to be upset about us talking to other coaches? What can we expect from him? Didn't see much of Porto and he wasn't at Chelsea long enough for me to have a good look at him.

Try this out. When she is about to say yes or no, pull back and say, "nah, I change my mind" and sort of walk away.

See what she does then. You will have basically turned the tables on her. Tried this a few times, always works.

He's done, just can't be announced til July due to his Chelsea contract specifications. Reason the betting markets are 1/4 or 1/5 or whatever they are now. Will probably be announced at weekend. Managers always talk like that.

Villas-Boas will be a superb appointment. Better manager than Redknapp who'll take Spurs further in the long run.

He's now best priced 1/8 to get the job, and as short as 1/16 with some bookies so guessing an announcement is imminent.

I think the telegraph said that his appointed will be announced on Sunday. If I was a Spurs fan I'd be happy with this appointment, I think he fits Tottenham and Tottenham fit him better than Chelsea did. Also I think he will get more chance to do what he wants to do in order to meet the club and his aims. It will be interesting to see who will be brought in and who goes out for you guys, can see you being linked with a few Porto players providing AVB has the money to spend.
